Period Home Redecoration Project in Wimbledon

We were contacted through Checkatrade by a client who required a complete painting and decorating project in a period home just off Wimbledon High Street (SW19).
After receiving the enquiry, I arranged to visit the property the following day to assess the work and provide a quotation for the full interior redecoration of the house.
The client explained that he would be moving into the property shortly and wanted the entire house professionally redecorated before moving in. This included a full interior painting project across three floors of the Wimbledon property.
When discussing the schedule, the client explained he would be receiving the keys in three days on Thursday (28th) and planned to move in on Wednesday the 3rd of August.

This gave us just six days to complete a full house redecoration in Wimbledon.

The property itself was a large three-storey period house, which included:

Three staircases
Three reception rooms with high ceilings and detailed cornice work
Three bathrooms
Two utility rooms
A large open-plan kitchen area

In addition, much of the property required preparation work before decorating. Several ceilings had been damaged due to previous leaks, and many of the walls throughout the house had visible subsidence cracks that needed repairing before painting could begin.

Over the years we have taken on many large decorating projects across South West London, but completing a full interior painting and decorating project in Wimbledon within six days was certainly a challenge.

The project began on the 28th as planned, and our team worked intensively to ensure the house was fully redecorated before the client moved in. At times we had up to six decorators working on the property, including over the weekend, to ensure the job was completed on time.

Despite the tight schedule, we successfully finished the complete house redecoration in Wimbledon on time and within the agreed budget.

The customer was extremely pleased with the final result and even bought the team a crate of German beer as a thank you for the hard work.
